Empowering Wellness With Digital Innovation
Titan Wellness, a Calgary-based fitness brand, faced low engagement and conversions due to weak brand recognition and reliance on third-party platforms. To solve this, I redesigned the brand identity and built a user-centered e-commerce platform with an engaging content hub, seamless shopping, and trust-building elements. The result: 7.6% conversion rate, 180 unique visitors in 3 weeks.

Titan Wellness needed to strengthen its digital presence. The company previously relied on third-party retailers and platforms to disseminate fitness content, and sell merchandise -causing low brand recognition and engagement with their target consumer. Titan Wellness wanted  to bring everything under one roof—cutting out third-party platforms so they can connect directly with their community and provide a more seamless experience.

Understanding User Challenges in Wellness

Users struggle with fragmented content, relying on multiple unstructured platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Reddit) for fitness guidance. Additionally, lack of trust and brand credibility leads to hesitation in purchasing fitness plans and resources due to uncertainty about their effectiveness.

Process
Uncovering Insights for a Better UX

User Surveys – Conducted surveys with Canadian fitness enthusiasts (22+) to understand their motivations, pain points, and purchasing behaviors when seeking wellness resources online.

Card Sorting – Used card sorting exercises to improve site navigation and content discovery, ensuring that users could easily find relevant fitness resources.

Competitor Research – Analyzed key players (TerryBerry, BodyBuilding) to identify navigation issues, content gaps, and trust barriers, uncovering opportunities for Titan Wellness to differentiate.

Usability Testing – Conducted usability tests to validate design decisions, ensuring clear navigation, intuitive content structure, and an engaging user experience that builds trust and encourages conversions.

To address Titan Wellness’ low brand recognition, I worked closely with the team to revitalize the company’s identity, ensuring a consistent, distinct, and recognizable presence across all platforms. This included cohesive visuals, tone, and messaging designed to build credibility and strengthen trust with users.

At its core, Titan Wellness stands for:

Strength: Representing power and endurance, Titan Wellness empowers individuals to build both physical and mental resilience through its fitness solutions.

Accessibility: With a commitment to making wellness achievable for everyone, Titan Wellness provides inclusive, easy-to-access resources that fit into any lifestyle.

Trust: Grounded in evidence-based practices, Titan Wellness is dedicated to offering reliable guidance and tools that help users confidently navigate their fitness journey.

Logo: The Titan Wellness logo—a bowing buffalo/bull facing the sun—symbolizes strength, perseverance, and growth. The buffalo reflects resilience and power, while the sun represents vitality and new beginnings, capturing Titan Wellness’ mission to inspire unwavering dedication to health and well-being.

Colour: The Titan Wellness color palette—vibrant orange, energetic yellow, and grounded ash grey—reflects a brand that is dynamic, bold, and inspiring. Orange symbolizes strength and motivation, yellow evokes vitality and positivity, while ash grey offers balance and reliability.

Typography: The typography, with bold Raleway italic uppercase and modern Manrope, enhances this spirit of movement, confidence, and clarity, embodying Titan Wellness’ commitment to empowering every wellness journey with energy and purpose.

Imagery: Titan Wellness imagery showcases individuals embracing diverse wellness practices — reflecting the brand’s commitment to holistic fitness, inclusivity, and balanced well-being.

Using these elements, I established  a design system to ensure usage of consistent UI components across digital platforms.

Solution - Part 2
A User-Centered E-Commerce Transformation

To bridge the gap between user frustrations and business goals, We launched a user-centered e-commerce platform that provides:

Engaging Content Hub – expert-backed wellness articles, community forums etc. to provide, guidance, accountability, and motivation. It includes filtering and sorting options, along with personalized resource recommendations based on user preferences and browsing behavior to improve navigation and user experience.

Seamless Shopping Experience – Addressed decision-making barriers with transparent pricing, social proof, and trust-building elements, ensuring users feel confident in their purchases.

Fully Responsive Design – Optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile to provide a seamless experience on any device, ensuring accessibility, retention, and engagement across all touchpoints.

Impact
Driving Engagement and Conversions Through UX

The Titan Wellness e-commerce platform delivered measurable results upon its launch. These include but are not limited to:

  • Organic traffic of 180 unique visitors within its first 3 weeks of launching.
  • An average order value of $150
  • Conversion rate of 7.6%
